      Important: You must not upload any documents containing identifiable patient data. Media Paddle is a tool for creating trial communications materials — not for processing personal data of trial participants.
    

1. Who we are

Media Paddle is operated by Adam McNamara, a sole trader registered in France (SIRET: 844 815 704 000 29), trading as ScienceSplained, with a registered address at 57 Impasse de la Chimère, 30900 Nîmes, France.

2. The service

Media Paddle is a software-as-a-service platform that helps clinical trial teams produce participant-facing communications including Participant Information Sheets, study websites, letters, and brand assets using AI-assisted tools.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to represent the organisation you register on behalf of. By creating an account you confirm this.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Upload documents containing identifiable patient or participant personal data
Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the platform
Share your account credentials with unauthorised parties
Use outputs in a way that misrepresents your clinical trial

5. Accounts and teams

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including actions taken by team members you invite.

6. Credits and payments

The platform uses a credit system. Credits are consumed when AI-powered tools are run. Purchased credits do not expire. Subscription credits refresh monthly and roll over up to a maximum of double the monthly allowance.

Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record. VAT and applicable taxes are handled by Paddle in accordance with local regulations.

7. AI-generated content

Outputs generated by AI tools are provided as drafts to assist your team. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all content before use. We make no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or suitable for regulatory submission.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all content you upload and all outputs generated from your data. We do not claim any rights over your project content.

The Media Paddle platform, software, and brand are owned by Adam McNamara trading as ScienceSplained and may not be copied or redistributed.

9. Data and privacy

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable EU/UK data protection law.

10. Availability

We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or suspend access if required for security or legal reasons.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adam McNamara trading as ScienceSplained shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may cancel your account at any time from account settings.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes. Continued use of the platform after notice constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nîmes, France.
